How is this so? It’s because they are packed full of the following, which are essential to healthy living and to assist the body to reduce inflammation – which causes pain.

FABULOUS WAYS TO EAT YOUR GREEN VEGETABLES Salad
Being good for digestion it’s great to start your meal with a small green salad such as:
- 2 or 3 different types of lettuce leaves
- Some spinach leaves
- Sugar snap peas
- Cucumber
- Finely chopped kale
- Chopped avocado
- Drizzle with a little olive oil, some lemon juice, salt and pepper
Smoothie
Have instead of a meal sometimes or when you are on the run. Kids love smoothies and you can make icy poles out of them. In a blender mix together:
- One big handful each of kale and baby spinach
- An avocado
- A banana
- A handful of combined goji berries, flax seeds, chia seeds and LSA mix
- Your choice to add mixed berries, mango, acai, blueberries or other fruits
- Enough coconut and filtered water (½ and ½) to make your desired drinking consistency
Vegie Bake
Kids and men love this dish!! Great with a BBQ or as a hot side dish for family and friends and it freezes well in portions for later – so make a big dish.
- Hard bake all sorts of vegetables such as carrots, sweet potatoes, eggplant, pumpkin, broccoli, zucchini, green beans, brussel sprouts.
- Once cooked drain any liquid from the vegetables and chop all into equal sizes.
- Mix together with a large tin of baked beans and some raw chopped spinach leaves.
- Top with cheese and cut in half cherry tomatoes to mark out serving portions and bake again until the cheese is melted and brown and the vegetables mixture is hot through.
- Allow to sit and cool slightly before serving.
Hide in Meals
If the family don’t like to know they are eating greens, just chop them up or blend them and hide them in other foods such as:
- Homemade hamburgers (chopped)
- Sauces (blended)
- Soups (blended)
- Pasta sauce (blended)
